Day 7 Thursday July 14, 2011 - This was the last ministry day for Impact groups to finish construction and remodeling projects. Students arrived early and stayed late to make sure the finishing touches were complete before heading to the carnival site. Some groups spent the morning canvasing the neighborhood and setting up for the carnival at Louis Sutter Park. Hundreds of neighborhood kids and families attended the carnival where they enjoyed games, crafts, face painting, and inflatable jump houses. Over 800 hot dogs were grilled and served during the event. The students presented their final concert in San Francisco at the park during the carnival. Tomorrow we say "Goodbye" to San Francisco and head back to DFW. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve this community and bring the message of hope in Jesus Christ to people we encountered here.
