Hi!
These are just a few quotes taken from various students that are currently involved/or have been involved in the Student Worship Ministry at Prestonwood. As you can tell, our choir attracts a wide range of students and talent levels! It’s really not about how well you sing or dance...it’s about “connecting” and “engaging” in the nucleus of the student ministry at Prestonwood. The choir students are, in many ways, the most actively connected students in our overall ministry. I think it all comes down to a heart for worship. Worship plays an important role in everything our ministry is about. I’m not talking about just the singing and the musical expression of worship, I’m talking about “lifestyle commitment” and “lifestyle choices.” Our High School Choir is made up of students from many schools, differing backgrounds, social statuses and abilities. What makes our choir unique is that we have the common bond of a passionate love of Jesus Christ and the desire to express that love through song, dance, missions and worship.
Don’t give in to the stereotype or wrong perception of what “choir” is or has been to you. It’s MORE than that. It’s family, it’s connection, it’s ministry!
I would strongly encourage you to show up and find your place in HIS ministry. We need YOU. What makes you unique is what we need!
