Sponsor Application Procedures
Application
Completed sponsor applications will be accepted from Prestonwood Baptist Church members only. The application deadline is Feb. 19, 2012. Applicants new to choir mission trips may be scheduled for an interview as part of the application process. The following components are included in the e-application:
- Sponsor Application
- Covenant and Commitment
- Financial Form
- Insurance Info Form
- Consent and Waiver Form
NOTE: Upon completion of your online application, be sure to download the Medical Information/Release and Volunteer forms. Please print out these two forms, complete and sign them, and mail them to the Student Worship Ministry Office, Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W Park Blvd., Plano, TX 75093. Trip Cost
The mission trip cost for sponsors is $275.00, which includes the retreat on Feb. 24-25.
Spiritual Commitment Criteria
Because all Prestonwood-sponsored "short-term" mission trips are a direct extension of the Prestonwood ministry family and purpose, mission trip participants are to express a lifestyle of spiritual commitment in the following areas:
- Have made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Have been scripturally baptized by immersion after salvation experience.
- Are a Prestonwood member and currently active in ministries at our church (i.e., Bible study fellowship, Student Ministry, Music Ministry, etc.)
Sponsor Duties
Commitment to the retreat on Feb. 24-25, and weekly sponsor/family group meetings on March 25, April 1 and April 15 are a must for mission trip sponsors. You will receive your detailed sponsor schedule upon acceptance of your application.
Payment Information
Sponsors will be asked to provide a credit card number at the time of application. The credit card will only be charged on the calendared payment dates if your account does not reflect the minimum balance required by each payment due date.
Payments by cash or check (made payable to Prestonwood Baptist Church) can be made any time prior to each due date.
For your convenience, invoices will be mailed two weeks prior to the scheduled payment dates. Payment Schedule
- $125 Deposit charged if selected as a mission trip sponsor (payable upon selection after Feb. 19)
- $175 Final payment due March 25, 2012
All deposits and payments are tax deductible and non-refundable.
Due to IRS regulations:
We are unable to refund any overages in a sponsor's account, and we cannot refund payments made in the event that a sponsor is unable to go on the trip. Payments are not transferable.
